About us
The Monestir of Sant Salvi is an old franciscan convent dated back in the year 1282. The venue has been recently remodeled to bring the celebrations to a high level of excellence given its beauty and uniqueness. Located in an extraordinary environment, at the Guillerias Massif and close by places as Natural parks such as Montseny (30 minutes), Girona City (25 minutes) and Costa Brava beaches (45 minutes).
It belongs to the Can Caballé group, a company that has organized all types of events and celebrations for the last 30 years.
History
Origen / Franciscan monastery founded on an ancient shrine first mentioned in 1282. It was founded in 1690 by Francisco de Bournonville, Marquis of Rupit and master of Santa Coloma, and was active until 1822. Later become a large farmhouse. The monastery was rebuilt in the eighteenth century, when it came to be eighteen religious. The church was rebuilt in 1801 and is a simple and austere building, a ship topped with semicircular apse and two side chapels on each side. It has a bell tower with two eyes. Beside him is a cloister, around which were the cells of the monks.
Architecture / The building consists of a part of the convent with a patio of 25.25 meters long and 13.53 m wide. The east side, the facade of the temple has a niche without the image and there is a belfry. In the south there is a porch with seven arches on square pillars; west up to the first floor is a gallery of seven arches on octagonal pillars. On the north side also appears a similar gallery but eight arches and a stone staircase leading to the first floor. The church makes 28.20 m wide and 3.60 m deep side chapels, two on each side. The semi-polygonal apse had five sides covered with nerves keystone now defunct. Outside the seven buttresses of the head are preserved, but all covers have disappeared. The walls are irregular stones and angles have only good squaring granite ashlar. Part of the monastic buildings has suffered an intervention and roofs have been restored. The entrance to the site is on the north side.

Our venue offers nature & silence but also we have all the comforts & polyvalent spaces so you can hold your yoga sessions, meditations, workshops, training, walks, forest baths, etc. Stays from 2 nights and with sleeping capacity up to 26 people.

The Monestir de Sant Salvi is full of multipurpose spaces, both indoors and outdoors, perfect to adapt to all types of events and stays. We are surrounded by both greenways and cycle and mountain bike paths that make it an ideal place for events and sports stays. In the past years we have also hosted filming, family celebrations, product presentations, culinary events, food pairings and many more.
